Just managed to get Dupilumab. Don't know if I can take it

Hello everyone,

I’ve just got my hands on Dupilumab (Dupixent) bc I have chronic issues with a one-sided nasal polyp ( in addition to Long Covid).

I know it blocks IL-4Rα, which also plays a role in LC. My ENT said its fine but I wanted to ask if anyone here has some thoughts or experience on it.

This is not a popular treatment so you might have trouble finding people who have tried it.

I did survey people on ‘biologic’.

Go to the data dump instructions below, and then look for biologic.

My memory is hazy but I don’t think anybody recovered on them. However, very few people tried any biologic (or reported results for them) so the data is not meaningful with the really small sample size.

The score is low because it comes from mainstream medicine. My take is that the practitioners in conventional medicine aren’t very charismatic (and aren’t very promotional) so that causes scores to be lower.

Rituximab

I know a few people who tried rituximab, which blocks a different part of the immune system. The results were meh.

I have very brief notes on rituximab here:

Update: did take 2x 300mg. Was completely fine. Polyp reduced but not completely gone.
